Infrared thermography measures heat in your electrical system. It reveals bad connections, overcurrent, failing insulation and poor ventilation, all of which lead to failure, while your equipment keeps running.

What an Infrared Scan Finds

• Loose connections: loose connections run hot, so a non-contact scan spots them quickly
• Open fuses: a fuse that is not carrying current stays cool
• Overheated breakers: breakers can overheat for several reasons, such as corroded contacts, and all of them need attention
• HVAC problems: infrared helps troubleshoot heating and cooling equipment

Unless you can measure the heat, you are unlikely to know a problem exists until something fails.
